Windows 8.1 Upgreaded to 10 will my key work for Windows 10 with a new drive?

Hi im going to put a SSD to improve startup times from my HDD. I will be resting windows 10 but  will my windows 8.1 key work when i install windows 10 on the ssd as i upgraded from 8.1 to 10?

(im running windows 10 now)

If you'e already upgraded that computer, you can just reinstall 10 and click "skip" when it asks for a key - eventually it will just recognize your motherboard and activate :)

you dont need a key if youre just changing hard drive
