Oh as for in general if you need a GPU or not it total depends on what you want to do with your computer. Games are not the only thing that can benefit from a GPU.

I spend too much on my PC. Then I spend even more on my Sim Rig. Damn, this stuff's expensive.

I think they have GPU acceleration but I'm not sure as I don't use them myself, I just know that people I know in the past have talked about GPUs for blurs and stuff like that.

Ah... will the 950/960 work fine?

that will work fine. the more layers and effects u use (and photo resolution thus more pixels to calculate) the more power you could need. you can also just wait a little longer if you don't want or have more gpu power.

what are you going to use it for? just because your not gaming dosent mean you dont need a GPU, intergrated graphics are usiually fine if your using your PC for verry light stuff like web browsing and lighter gaming, like LOL or CS:GO even, but anything more demanding then that and you will want a graphics card

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

It depends on what your doing but a gpu makes a difference..

For this test it doesn't really matter what you get.. But different work-loads will benefit in different ways, you will need to see if it benefits what your doing with a bit of research.
