Saw few benchmarks like that about GTX 1070 and it will be probbably somewhere around that.

Resaults seems legit, but as they pointed out ... all cards were compared at stock. for 980 Ti stock mean 1000MHz on core, and we all know that 980 ti doesn't have any problem being at 1400 MHz stable.

So when we compare GTX 980 Ti OC to GTX 1070 OC ... 980 ti will probbably win. But not by a lot.

Concidering that price is lower and less power usage ... GTX 1070 seems like decent card!

Found this...  Decent.  Will be better with the custom boards and better cooling.  A custom bios and more power should really help these cards.  I look for the custom pcb cards under water to hit 20k+ graphics scores.

how many times did nvidia say that 1070 is faster than the titan x? and look at the benchmarks

on batman ak it is slower, at bioshock infinite again is slower, and in battlefield 4 it beats it just for 1 fps

what a dissapointment. nvidia is full of crap

it still is a good gpu ok, but the over hyping and lies makes me angry

Stock GTX 1070: 1683Mhz * 1920 cores = 3231360
Stock GTX 980 Ti: 2816 cores *1075MHz = 3027200

OCed GTX 1070: 1920 cores x 2000MHz = 3840000
OCed GTX 980 Ti: 2816 cores *1450MHz = 4083200

So 980 Ti is better by around 6%. If you OC it even more, maybe 10%.

But GTX 1070 can get that overlock on stock PCB. Not sure it will be able to scale good after that 2000 MHz clock, so lets just say it's 10% slower than GTX 980 Ti.

10% less performance

But it will use much less power

And it's also quite cheaper. Even if you compare prices of used 980 ti. But that's not fair, since with GTX 1070 you are first owner with all papers and warranty.

So if you ask me, that's great card for anyone who want to upgrade from GTX 970/R9 390 or lower GPUs, and will stick at 1440p gaming for some time. This card will probbably max everything at 1440p with 60fps. And for that price it seems like a great deal.

But the 980 Ti won't drop to the price of a 1070, even the FE version.

1070 will likely cost at least the same, if not more than the 980 Ti.

980 Ti cost 600-650€ in EU.

GTX 1070 is expected to be around 430-480€.

Actually the retailers drop the prices every single generation. Always happened to clear out old cards from stock.

Yes but not by a huge amount. Unless the items have been sitting on the shelves for too long, they won't drop in price all that much, especially if people start gobbling them up.

Price of GTX 1070 and 1080 won't go down ... it might just go up lol

At least for now ... after 6 month when hype will be over for those cards, prices will start slowly dropping, but then we will also get GTX 1080 ti released, so retailers will try to sell 1080 before it loose all it's value.
