ComputerBase got their hands on a GigaByte GTX1080 G1: http://www.computerbase.de/2016-06/gigabyte-geforce-gtx-1080-g1-gaming-test/4/

and since we discussed whether the STRIX cooling was done properly or not ... take a look at this:

up G1 / bottom STRIX; it uses 75mm fans instead of 90mm (STRIX)

although not perfect fit, it spears G1 cooler has way tighter spaces in between the heatpipes 

 

it is quieter than the STRIX:

That makes no sense; how is the temp cooler on OC than on stock with the 1080 G1?
