Hey,

I decided to help my friend out this summer and I want to make him the best setup for his budget of around $1,200 dollars. I'm trying to make this build more for gaming and schoolwork. He's using it to play games such as GTA V, CS: GO, Battlefield 4, Garry's Mod, Rocket League, Call of Duty, Minecraft, etc. He is also going to use it for school so I'm guessing heavy web browsing. Additionally, he justs one 1080p monitor so I thought the Benq was perfect for the budget he's on. For peripherals, I picked out the Devastator Keyboard and Mouse cause he really doesn't care about keys. Finally, is the motherboard any good for overclocking(trying to stay on the budget).  At last, any Windows 10 OS under $50?  It needs to be under $1300. Any suggestions on relocating the budget or ideas on other builds for his needs? Thank you. Appreciate it. :D

The motherboard should be able to handle some decent overclocking. I wouldn't go crazy with it though.

ok the entire build is missing one thing, GRAPHICS CARD!!! without that good luck with GTA-V, BF4 and COD. the motherboard is good but replace the CPU cooler with a noctua nh-d15 if that fitts, or a Hyper 212 evo if that dosent fit.

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Loss the H60. It's loud and trash for the price.
Get a cheaper air cooler and switch to the 520w Season S12II.
That's $60 in savings and under $1300.

I've fiddled with some stuff around to fit in a 144hz monitor (IMO a must for games like CS:GO). Replaced the lacklustre 120mm AIO with a sturdier air cooler.

BTW, you can grab Windows 10 off the microsoftsoftwareswap subreddit. Have had no problems with it.
