Noctua NF-A14 IPPC-2000

Hello LTT

I'm looking to buy new case fans for my setup, but i've been struggeling finding the best.

I've been looking at Noctua, but i don't really like the brown color, but found one that they make in black..

Noctua NF-A14 IPPC-2000

My question now is, can i use this as a case fan, or is a high static pressure fan ?

My other option is to go with corsair af140, but they seem to be moving alot less air :-)

I've just figured that i'm not even able to fit a 140mm fan, so i have to go with a 120mm..

so either

The NF-F12 is not optimal as a case fan. The NF-S12B generates almost as much airflow at 1200 RPM as the NF-F12 does at 2000 RPM.

If you don't like brown color. Noctua also has NF-S12B Redux, which is grey in color.

There's nothing wrong with using static pressure optimized fans as case fans.

What are you looking for out of your case fans?

i seen a drop in temps when i went with the NF-F12 iPPC 3000 PWM for the front of my case, going thru 2 hard drives, and a NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM for exhaust. and thats at 1500 rpms.

i havent found a fan controller i wanna buy yet, so its just set to "normal" in my bios for fan speeds. surely will see even more improvement when bumped up later.

was thinking about even buying 2 more for my rad xD
