I have a question about the 960/970

radical guild

Can the 960/970 run three 1080p 144hz monitors at mid to high settings and what would be the best one for it

With the games running at 144FPS on each panel?

I'm going to vote against it, including for the 970.

What game, what settings.

Probably not

May be I'll just get 3 60hz monitors

To be honest you'd be a lot better off waiting for pascal, the 1070 would be your best bet in terms of price to performance. If the 1080 can push to 220fps and the 1070 has ~80% performance of the 1080 then yould be looking at about 100 fps per panel at 1080p at med to high settings.

If you got 3 60Hz panels then you'd probably be able to game at high to very high settings at ~60 fps on a 1070.

If you had too, go with the 970. But it is more focused as a single monitor card, performing well at 1080p in High settings at high frame rates. It doesn't possess enough horsepower to driver surround gaming, let alone at 144 fpps on high settings..

Here is a benchmark that has 3x 1080p(5750x1080) and the 970 take a look. Also id wait for the 1070.

Even that, I doubt the 970 will be able to drive 3 60hz panels at 60fps on high settings..

Where's the benchmark at?

Ok my man. Let him wait ~5 weeks for a third party 1070.

Where did you even get the idea to pair $200 -  $300 GPUs with at LEAST $600 worth of monitors?
