You could go for a 960, 380, or 970.

Though 500 W is cutting it close for the 970.

Before you buy anything, make sure it fits in your case, and your PSU has the right connectors.

A gaming PC for your budget: $800 - $1000 - $1500 - $1800 - $2600 - $9001

500W is more than enough for a GTX 970.

Wait 2 weeks till the 1080 and 1070 drop. You could probably pick up a Titan X for like $300, or something like a 980 for like $250

LOL!!!! OP is looking for at a 950, Linus Tech Tips tells them to get a 1070 xD I missed you guys xD

AMD is launching the Polaris line at Computex June 1st, if you can wait that long please do as Polaris 11 is aimed at the 950's head and will surely beat it for less.

If not get an EVGA, use the step up program if a Pascal replacement hits.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

What gpu should i look to get. Im trying to replace my gtx 950 and i was wondering if there are any gpus where i dont have to upgrade my power supply with is 500psu.

I'd suggest waiting for the cards from AMD and Nvidia to be released. Since right now everyone is trying to get on the power efficiency train. You'll probably be able to find a card that you can upgrade to without changing the PSU.

i5 2400 | ASUS RTX 4090 TUF OC | Seasonic 1200W Prime Gold | WD Green 120gb | WD Blue 1tb | some ram | a random case

OOOHHHHHhhhhh. Still say wait for June 1st and the Polaris launch. Should dominate the mid range market and if Polaris 11 is any indication offer some pretty good efficiency to boot.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

What are some cheaper graphics cards that i could go far that are better then my 950 but i can still run with a 500 watt psu

The best option would be a used 970, they will be going for some very low prices used and still max out most games at 1080p.

If anyone asks you never saw me.
