Well speeding isn't inherently dangerous. It certainly can be. There's also a point where speeding IS dangerous. If you're driving 90 KM/h through a quiet subdivision where the speed limit is 40 KM/h? That's dangerous.

 

Going 120 KM/h on a 100KM/h highway? Not so much.

yea, speeding when the conditions are met.  speeding with control.  on long straight freeways, or low traffic good conditioned roads. but i hvae seen people hella distracted while driving, its crazy.

Well, it's not a 'Spy Car', it doesn't even appear to be a surveillance vehicle.  That camera over the driver side, it's most certainly a license plate scanner, it just uses OCR to read license plates and look them up to see if there are warrants and such out for the owners of those vehicles.  It's no different than police running plates they see while driving, but instead it's an automated system that's MUCH faster than doing it by hand.

 

But I'm confused on why they bolted it onto a big SUV and then tried to slap a Google Maps logo on it.  That camera could just be more discretely mounted on the roof and you'd have something that'd look entirely unremarkable.  Get a minivan, bolt a roof top cargo carrier, insteall it in the carrier and make modify it with a window.

 

Not that I really get why a license plate scanner needs to be discrete.  It's not like that's a vehicle that's going on stakeouts, it just needs to drive around and pass a lot of vehicles.  A lot of services just bolt them onto regular maked patrol vehicles.

 Having vehicles with fake company logos and such doing this work isn't any different imo than using unmarked cars.

 

The brilliant person decided to use not only a legit company, but Google should be fired for being an absolute dumbass.

As the increasingly Orwellian our police state becomes, I'd put this in the catagories of "WTF?" and "Minor incidents of humans being moronic".

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.
