The SM2256-family controller conclusively confirms that it is NOT a rebranded OCZ Trion (either 100 or 150). Those use a Toshiba TC58 controller.

I was assuming that it wasn't but IDK why everyone else was jumping onto conclusions, so I guess I did, too.

Check out my guide on how to scan cover art here!

Local asshole and 6th generation console enthusiast.

That's the same controller as the A-Data SP550 and Mushkin Reactor. Considering the Silicon Motion chip has been licensed to multiple companies I wouldn't be surprised if AMD's design is their own.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

The Mushkin Reactor is cheaper and has MLC...

And the 850 EVO has 3D TLC and costs the same.

Well it's nice for AMD theme build, also specially if it's priced well.
