What do you mean? I am just wanting to download everything and move it over to my gaming pc permanently. Most patches I have seen are like 1gb, that being the worst I've ever seen.

then grab a 64gb pen drive lol

though price per gigabyte i think the 1tb drives scores much better :P

but yea, if you dont mind manually patching games (if your game supports it) then a large capacity pen drive will do the job just fine

It is looking like we might be dropping our internet service and using cellphone hotspots for our internet. I want to be able to download games online to my computer but I can't with such limited data. Can't I put the installer or game on a thumbdrive and transfer the data to my gaming pc? I would be downloading the data at school or wherever I have WiFi for long periods of time. I go to college so I am on campus for hours if not all day.

Instructions for frustration management:  

1) Sit at desk.   2) Repeatedly slam forehead against desk.

you can, as long as the pendrive have enough capacity for the games you want

and updates are going to be an issue too

 

i suggest running your games off of an external drive, so you can update them at school when needed

and play them off the drives

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Couldn't I download the latest updates online separately to transfer to my gaming pc as well? I was looking at getting a 128gb stick.

 

 

This is when I wish a gaming laptop was more affordable.

if the game supports patch then yea

some games needs you to run their updater so... yea

 

i gamed on an 8gb USB stick back in the days so i know how its like ;)

The only games right now are GTA V, and Battlefield games (Bad Company 2- BF4) I am looking at COD as well.

Sounds like a plan. When Newegg or Bestbuy runs a really good deal I will jump on it.

I will see if my games accept manual patches. Also, how can I stop GTA V from automatically updating all the da#% time!?!
