What cooler should I get?

Go to solution Solved by TheRandomness,

Just saying, too much CPU on that build if it's just for gaming. Also, something like a Cryorig H7 or be quiet! Pure Rock.

I've been working on a build and I don't know what CPU cooler I should get. I plan to lightly overclock the CPU.

Here are my build specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus Z170-PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card
Case: NZXT H440 (White/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Cooler Master 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit)

lightly overclock the cpu? Nothing wrong with the 212 evo :)

If you really want too, you could pick up some good thermal paste and just use a stock intel heat sink (Please don't hate)

all depends on the budget.

A Noctua NH-D15/ Corsair H100i for the $100USD and up price bracket

A Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO for the $30USD price range

I'm assuming you're from America

Rig: Thermaltake Urban S71 | MSI Z77 G45-Gaming Intel Core i5 3570K (4.4Ghz @ 1.4v) CM Hyper 212 EVO | Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB | MSI GTX 660 | Kingston 120GB SSD | Seagate 3TB HDD | EVGA 850W B2
