Why not?

I did everything the exact same put the windows stuff onto my usb and turned off my pc

 

then I unplugged my cd drive my other ssd and hdd

 

booted up my pc to see the screen asking for the system insert or  whatever and nothing else happened

did you plug the USB in when you booted up?
