On the Intel side it usually is that the Z motherboards (eg. Z77, Z87, Z97, Z170) motherboards can overclock, however there are some exceptions like how the Pentium CPU can OC on some more motherboards.

On AMD it's a bit different, as a lot more can overclock, just some better than others.

So.....All AMD boards can overclock?

I have to be honest that I do not know everything about the AMD side. But I do know for example the 970 and 990FX chipsets motherboards can overclock (AM3+ socket). on the FM2+ socket I don't know a lot.

Most of them, but not all. Some cheap chinese MoBo's surely won't, but if you get, for example, an MSI or Gigabyte motherboard, chances are, you can overclock if you have a compatible CPU .
