[Same Price] Mechanical or Membrane?

Indus Monk

I have a dragonwar gk003 its a membrane keyboard. Now I wanna swap it out for a mechanical one...The one I want looks like this:31FDlEKvG6L._SL1500_.jpg

It's cherry MX blue, USB, very darn cheap (under $20)

I don't want backlight... Is this worth it?

Are you sure it's over 100 mechanical Cherry MX Blue switches for under $20?

I used to be quite active here.

I'm asking what Aytex is asking, since a full-sized board with genuine Cherry switches costs much more than $20 to produce.

I mean i looks like legit cherry key switches, though im not sure if its the best one out there.

I guess if your on a really tight budget than maybe

Though I highly doubt these are 100% cherry mx switches, they HAVE to have done something to get the prices so cheap

Okay, I have physically used one, it was very loud but tactical and clicky... Although the key caps were very shite, they felt great to click!

I doubt it is actually cherry mx. At $1.50 each on average for consumers the cost for manufacturers has to be around $0.50-$0.75 per switch. That means that a full size keyboard costs between $52 and $78 to produce in switches alone.

Reviews point out that it doesn't use cherry switches, instead using cheap chinese clones, and build quality looks really suspect.
