Problems with r7 260x

Lonko

Ok so i have this card for a while now,and like 2 months ago it started acting wierd or at least i think its the cards fault.

My pc suddenly freezes and i have to reset it, or sometimes i get BSOD and it says driver stuck in infinite loop.

The card is asus r7 260x oc 2gb ddr5.

What do you think guys? I tried reinstaling the driver and installing again nothing changed, same problems remained. And im getting messages with solve ati raden graphcis driver problem.Driver has stopped working 29 times in action center messages.

And i just saw that a new driver is avaiable released 28.03.2016.I hope it will help me,but first i wanna hear what you have to say.

Thanks in advance

I'd think you'd want to update to the latest driver.

To be honest AMD kind of stinks when it comes to quality.

It's an Asus card... Also AMD's quality of products are just as up to par as any other tech company. What basis do you have to justify that statement? Please do not start another flame war. Post facts and not personal gripes/bias's.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

Give it a shot and come back if that didn't fix the issue. Keep us posted.

And the quality of your comments, too.

The first thing I would do is to comepletly reinstall drivers by using the Display Driver Unsintaller: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
Then I would download the newest driver and install that.

If that doesn't help, try the graphics card in a different slot on your motherboard. Maybe the PCI-e slot on your motherboard is defective.

You can also try to run on the integrated graphics-chip of your CPU if it has one, by simply unplugging your graphics card and plugging your monitor into the back of your motherboard. If it still crashes under the same circumstances, then you know at least that it isn't the fault of your graphics card.

Yes it has. It's an older chip, but will work fine.

Every i3, i5 or i7 has onboard graphics.

Not all of them have onboard graphics. The very high end I7 extreme editions don't have it.
