Recommended specs? (BF4)

Tris15
Go to solution Solved by RespawnCake,

Don't worry about your 3gb. By the time games will be using full 3gb your 7950 won't have raw power for it.

Bf4 recommended spec are be probably mix of high-very high settings

Your 7950 probably won't max it but it will be somewhere close. And really playing very high or ultra isn't that different

Hey guys,

I still wonder what recommended specs mean. Does that mean you can max it out or what?

I really started wondering after BF4 with my 7950 3gb. Or is it for example on medium?

Thank you!

Recommended usually means medium, and optimal usually means ultra settings (we do not know ultra recuiments, but it cant be over 3gb at ultra on 1080p)

You are fine on high to ultra on 1080p. The 3gb recommended vram for bf4 is mostly marketing. I bet most of the new amd cards will ship with 3gb.

the gtx 660 and 7870 can run bf3 on ultra with very good fps no problemo. it will run bf4 on high-ultra .thats why they are recommended.

Recommended specs are rubbish, you need x2 12 core Xeons, 64GB of RAM, and dual 7990/690 or quad titans to get a solid 60FPS

No and never has.

A lot of people think it does however and that's why you see a lot of ranting and raving on forums when a new

game comes.

Console ports are mostly to blame for younger gamers to believe it does.

No no no, you got this all wrong, you need at least 8 gb of vram, they just want everyone to have a really bad experience so they'll play on console. True story.

No sarcasm there, absolutely none.

No textures? It's almost finished build.Compare bf3 alpha with final release,no major differences. Anyone who says that final build of bf4 will be much better looking than alpha isn't right

Err... did you play the alpha? Not the build they had at E3 or wherever, but the closed alpha which some people got into? That alpha had very few textures; nearly everything but the people, vehicles and guns were untextured.
