I assume you mean lower ping, as in less lag. If so, a better internet connection will help you the most. Contact your provider to see if you can get faster service. Other than that you can try replacing your router if yours is performing poorly, or possibly the wireless adapter in your computer.

the only thing that will improve your ping will be to upgrade your internet or moving closer to a datacenter.

Having higher ping is bad, and wont let you "own" players with higher ping. The lower the ping, the faster the response time, and the better. a Player with 20ms ping has a big advantage over someone with 500ms ping, especially in something like a FPS.

Um, well i assume you mean a longer response time resulting in a higher millisecond count. Just add a speed restriction on your router or run a torrent to crowd the network

Well if you're so determined to have higher ping, you could just disconnect from the network completely....

∞ms latency added.

Just set a speed limit on your router or crowd your network, I'm not even sure any game would let you sand bag like that with a command.

I think what you're looking for is a lag switch.
The problem is. Most PC games will drop you if you use one.
We're not talking xbox here.

There is a guide on how to make one here.

I don't believe there's a way to make your ping higher. It's supposed to be as low as possible for better performance.

AGAIN LIMIT YOUR SPEEDS IN THE ROUTER OR ADD SOME NETWORK TRAFFIC, or be complicated and build a physical device "lag switch".

What are you trying to do??

okay well is there way to send packets to your pc like ping your router

yes, thats what ping is for, ping the intranet devices

You'd need hundreds, if not thousands, of computers pinging your computer to cause you issues. A ping is barely any data transmission, a single one happening a few times a second isn't near enough to slow your ping down.

Go out and buy 200-300 switches and patch cables, plug one into another and you'll have a higher ping.

If you have a WiFi router just buy an external WiFi card and connect via that. Once set up just wrap it in a blocking material until the point where your connection is shit enough to suit your needs.

If i had to guess OP is playing BF4 or similar where your actually disadvantaged with low ping and people flood lobbies with high pings so they will own you.  I know BF4 I will have people dead to rights and I get killed there ping is 300-400ms to my 60ms.

Like others said set a speed limit on your router should do it.

This, also make sure they are running in store and forward mode.

Limiting bandwidth does not necessarily work.
