need free video editing software

Im doing a thingie for school and I need free video editing software that I can put a facecam overlay on the top right corner. Its basically a screen-recorded powerpoint that I filem a video of me talikng to put in a corner. What should I use? I need it to be relitivly easy, free, and I can stick a video of me in the top-right corner. Ive tried VideoPad and Lightworks and i can't get either to work. Please help (Im fine with trials as long as I can do the previously mentioned tasks)

You can try the Adobe Premiere trial via Adobe Creative Cloud

I tried it it just wont cooperate.

But can it do what I need it to relatively easily?

if its under 10minutes you can do that easily with the trial version of bandicam and crop it after to remove the watermark.

 

just use your webcam and do the talking as u record the screen view.

 

I believe obs can do the same and is what most twitch sreamers use but ive never tried it.

Get DaVinci Resolve 12 Free, it has more and better features than both HitFilms and Lightworks.

Any video editing software can do what you want, you just need to pre-record the video of you talking about the presentation and during post editing just add the slides with your video scaled down and layered on top at one corner.
