Will my CPU bottleneck R9 390 or GTX 970

Kickflapper

I have a kinda older i7 860 overclocked to 3.6ghz and I was wondering if my CPU will bottleneck a R9 390 or GTX 970.

I looking to upgrade CPU and MOBO. What would be a good CPU that would keep up with R9 390. I know intel is far better and much more money. How is AMD 8350 or 8370 with these cards?

A downgrade to your i7-860. A substantial one.

In DX11, i'd say an overclocked i5 (haswell/skylake) is required to get sufficient drawcalls out of the Radeon Driverlayer in demanding titles.
