No thermal paste on a AMD CPU!?!!
Please, don't try to boot it up.

I tried using a i5 760 without thermal paste and it crashed and burnt.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Will this be enough thermal paste for you?

but seriously, I REALLY reccomend putting some more on before you boot that and end up frying it.

I've got the same problem....and an identical tube of that thermal paste from 2006 (coolermaster eclipse-as expected tis very dry), and as a result I'm having to use some silicon based stuff that's really only suited for direct die application (aka laptop CPU, and all GPU).

How do you ever run out of thermal paste other than having thrown the tube away?

When you are passively cooling a 400W machine with discarded heatsinks

There is thermal paste ABSOLUTELY FUCKING EVERYWHERE in my workspace.
