Hello!

I'm building my first PC that I've saved up for a while now.  I have about 2600 US dollars saved up and I've made two different builds on PC Part Picker and I don't know which one is best.  I will be playing games like, The Witcher 3, GTA V, CS:GO, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops 2, etc.  I already have an SSD and HDD so both os these will not have storage. I already have a Windows DVD, so, none of that either.

Here are the two builds:

6700 Non-K Base Build:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2QqGWZ

5930K Base Build:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9Mb7kL

I left some money extra for games and LED lights, etc.

I was thinking that, but the single 980ti water cooled is so nice! Also, I think the 6700 will probably be the bottle-neck, don't you think?

It may not bottleneck right now but I'm almost going to say that it's an unbalanced build as usually the lowest CPU you're going to want to get to go with dual 980ti's is a 6700k which granted, the 6700 isn't far from but the higher stock clock of the 6700k makes it more suitable before an OC is thrown into the equation

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

I generally don't OC, I'm not too experienced enough :)

What do you think of the 5820k and two 980tis?

Do you have a budget of $2300-2400??

@Coaxialgamer already beat me to a lot of the same changes, but I still put together a parts list that I would personally recommend:

-The 5930K is the same thing as a 5820K except with more PCIe lanes. Those don't matter here, so the 5820K is the better choice.

-Corsair Dominator Platinum is expensive...

-I can't speak from experience, but I have seen reviews of that particular hybrid 980ti that are less than stellar.

-Swapped out the monitors with those from the other build to make room for a second 980ti.

(I just realized it's $20 over budget... Not sure how important that is to you.)

while you are at it , i had to change the cooler for an air cooler instead of the h110i . since you have more room , that might be a worthwhile change

it's a better performing cooler , he will get better temps . I didn't see he had the hdd/ssd , so i had to go with the DR3 instead of the h110i to fit the budget

As you can see in the original post, I have a 2600 Budget (but I need some for LEDs and games)

let's say you leave $70 (enough to buy a NZXT hue+ plus an extra strip of LEDs) and maybe $150 for games then you have about 2380 to spend on computer and monitors...

which leaves $220, just stretch out for like $40 extra then you also have the 3 monitors...

From what I can find, they perform similarly... Can't find anything saying the Dark Rock 3 outperforms the H100i.

Honestly, in a build with this budget, I can't imagine not using water cooling. Looks cleaner, makes it easier to work in the case, it's usually quieter, etc...

Thats the exact opposite of what i meant.  The h110i will outperform the dark rock 3.

Oh...

It really looked like you were saying it would be worthwhile to change to the air cooler.
