Can I Expand My H100i GTX Loop?

I actually have an H115i which is the same thing. I'm a bit disapointed by the temps (was expecting to be a lot cooler). Someone told me that it's small reservoir doesn't allow the liquid to cool fast enough before being cycled through again. While I don't intend on making any upgrade soon, I was wondering if it was even possible to expand the loop and add a reservoir among other things.

If not possible, I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading the stock water cooler fans. If yes, then to what fans? The noise doesn't really bother me, however, one of the fans makes a small weird clicking noise 100 times a second.

Nope. That's a closed looped cooler that's not meant to be opened or expanded. Doing so will void your warranty and potentially damage the cooler as it is not powerful enough to get the liquid through an expanded loop. And it does not have a reservoir; the liquid is just stored in the waterblock, radiator and tubing.

 

You can consider Noctua fans if you want to upgrade the fans.

this also a reservoir dosnt cool the liquid thats the radiators job the res just holds liquid if its not cooling enough you either need a bigger rad or higher static pressure fan to push more air

The swifttech one looks cool. I'm a tad bit regretting my decision with the H115i. Looks like fan upgrades it is. 

 

Would it be a good idea to use my existing fans and a pair of the Noctua fans below as push pull or just have the Noctua pair?

Why people keep saying the Indudtrial PPC is louder. Yes, unless you only run it full speed. But man, you can adjust fan speed to slow it down to like a regular NF-F12. At the same rpm/speed, they sound the same.

I read that post. Don't want to be rude to the poster. But that "small reservoir" thing will cool slow is just wrong. When there is more coolant in the system. It'll take longer for it to reach an equalibrium. But it doesn't affect the cooling capacity. The maximum/minimum CPU temperature will be the same regardless of the size of the reservoir.

In the UK at least the Industrial ones are more expensive by a fairly large margin over the LTT ones.

The H115i cools fairly well, considering what it is, especially if the fans are allowed to run faster. What are the temps?

Corsair has pretty good customer support. You can probably RMA the fan or the whole unit instead of getting new fans. You can also just buy quieter fans, but you'll trade a bit of performance in the process. The stock fans have unmatched static pressure for the dense radiator.

 

And no, you can't expand the loop.

36C idle and 83C on max load for 4.5GHZ on 1.30V.

I meant that I threw in an extra fan I had and it makes that clicking noise. The cooler fans itself are perfectly fine, but would I get better performance by upgrading them?
