Ok. Pretty good. Here are my reccomendations. I have made all changes with 'future-proofness' in mind, no matter how much I hate that term
- Switch out the 5820k. You do not need it. Look at a i7 6700k or 6700 or maybe even a 6600k. People with sandy bridge i5s are still going strong today so a 6600k will last a while.
- Unless you are doing content creation or somthing similar just get a dual stick 8gb ram kit. In the future if you need more just upgrade. You will have two more slots empty!
- If you really want to go for long lasting preformace then maybe wait or pascal and Polaris. If you don't want to wait try and shell out for a 980ti or a r9 fury.
- You don't need a 950 SSD. Just get one large SSD like a 850 evo 500gb and a big fast HDD like a 1tb WD black.
- Wierd choice for the cooler. I like the fact that you went air cooling. In my experience closed loop coolers have caused problems over the long term. Look at a nhd15 or a nhu14. They offer similar or better preformace than a closed loop cooler. you do end up going for water over air look at a enthusiast grade solution like an EkWb predator or a custom loop in a box type thing from Alphacool or ek. The thermal compound that comes with Noctua coolers is fine. You don't need an aftermarket solution
- Maybe look at a 1440p 27" 60htz monitor. Unless you are pretty competitive 60 fps is fine and 1440p and a larger size will make you happier for longer, taking away the need to upgrade
- Don't get an optical drive. End of discussion
- That is an intense keyboard! Do you really need it? If you play a lot of MOBA or MMO games then the macros might be good. If you don't care go for a k70 or an Azio MGK1 if you want to save some money.
- I always reccomend the Steelseries rival 300 over anything else. I reckon it is the best fps mouse available.
Long answer i know know but I hope you found my advice helpful and constructive. Live long and prosper my friend
