GTA V seems to take forever to load

IDK why but GTA V seems to take forever to load.

 

Doesn't matter if it's singleplayer or multiplayer.

 

How can I fix this? It's so ridiculous.

Get an SSD and get better internet

Could try deleting the game files and reinstalling it or you can get an SSD.

There's not really w way to fix it even loading from an SSD it takes ages. You could try a RAM disk bust that's a lot of RAM.

Its just the game, tabbing out makes it take longer so try to bear through that initial load screen.

Even with an SSD it's not going to load quickly, it's a 60+ GB game. I keep my copy loaded on a normal hard drive because I don't feel like using up that much space on my SSD for one game, and it takes ages.

For me when I got an SSD it cut gta load times almost in half of what they were before, so there is some difference unless there is a bottleneck somewhere.

but when mine takes ~5 min to load, yours will still take 2-3 min, and for an SSD that's not great

I have an SSD but it's only for Windows. Everything else goes to HDD.

 

I am right now trying to re-install it.

That's because it does take forever to load.

GTA has always taken a long time to load, back on PS2 it was also bad. Just a lot of variables and whatnot they need to pre-load to the RAM to run. Don't alt+tab out, it takes at least 30 seconds longer on an HDD.

What CPU are you running?

My G3258 @ 4.7GHz is the problem on slow loading, I fixed it by going to the taskmanager, details and give GTA V a higher priority, the game is still on my HDD. 8GB DDR3-1333 GHz and loads within 2-5 minutes.
