Redo the test, but without any other apps running. I also have a gtx 970 i got scored 7.7. with my i7-4770k on stock speeds.

CPU: Intel 3570k @ Stock (attached image), Note: I got the same result @ 4.3 GHz, but "Frames CPU Bound = 1 " instead of "0". I assume = no difference. 

GPUs: AMD R9 290 (yes, reference) x2 with crossfire ON. Core Voltage = +38 mV , max power limit, Core Clock = 1 GHz, Mem Clock = 1.4 GHz

RAM: 12GB DDR3 @ 1600 

Score: 9.2

Uhhhhh something is not right there. I have to assume you're either using the Intel integrated graphics or you're not plugged into the wall. (My laptop dies GPU-wise when it's on battery)

I think the fatal flaw (not really fatal or flawed, just is) of this pole is that the audience does not reflect the majority of PC gamers. What I mean is I assert that most visitors of this site are above average in terms of computer knowledge, interest and ability.

 

What this really means is (x) % of LTT viewers are VR ready which I assume is a vastly larger percentage than the entirety of the PC gaming world. Not good not bad just is.
