lizart951

Corsair has today officially launched a new power supply family, the RM Series. The RM units feature a modular design, an 80 Plus Gold rating (with over 92% efficiency), a 135 mm fan, a Zero RPM Fan Mode (the fan doesn't spin under low to medium loads), Corsair Link compatibility, and low-profile, flat cables.

The RM Series PSUs are backed by a five-year warranty and cost $89.99 (450 W model), $99.99 (550 W), $119.99 (650 W), $129.99 (750 W), $149.99 (850 W) and $164.99 (1000 W).

Soo which are they really? Seasonics or other company rebrand this time?

I guess Seasonic due to 2 plugs for 24pin cable in bottom left.

Most likely Flextronics since it is Corsair Link compatible.

Still those double connectors for 24pin looks more like Seasonics doing.

These looks like pretty slick PSUs at a really good price. As it stands right now there would be absolutely no reason for a person to buy any TX series PSU unless they have a pretty serious drop in price. At equal wattages the RM series offers slightly cheaper prices, fully modular cabling, and higher efficiency.

That's a very nice PSU. I wonder what price point it's going to be at.

Yeah, I'd probably agree with you there. Though as Dave Zember said, it could be anyone as far as we know.

I may buy the 750w version if it isn't that much more than the HX+ 750 in the UK : O.

Edit: Just looked and...

HX+ 750w = £119.99

RM 750w - £109.99

I am soo buying the RM 750, it looks nicer and is fully modular : O.

Does anyone think the Yellow on this PSU will match the new Gold Asus Z87 boards?

I like how the skus have literally every user in mind and not just the ones that have high wattage SLI Titans. :P  The 550W unit will be perfect for my build.

Yeah I have been thinking about build a very low power File server on my Home Network using a H87 ITX Board from Asus, A Haswell Core i3 CPU and a Raid Card and was thinking about using a 450-500w CPU

Why would anyone choose the HX over this (since this is actually cheaper)? They might as well have used this as a replacement, but it's definitely awesome to have a good fully modular PSU for a decent price.

I hope we can get pre-sleeved cables for this like we could with the AX series.

Flat 24 pin cable pretty nice looking , but yer i don't really see any big improvements over the hx series other then that the zero rpm mode is till 40 % compared to the hx 20 %, but then again i got a hx 620w and i can't even hear that fan running.

Can someone explain to me why I should buy the TX or even the HX series over this? This seems like a much better deal.
