BailyStufins

What is the best or the most powerful GPU for $160? Please do not say GPUs that are $200

Save up allowance for an extra two weeks, spend the extra $30 ($20 of which you'll get back in a month or so) and get significantly more performance than any <$160 card.

based on what's on your profile, leave the gpu for now and get some better storage in that thing, using IDE today should be considered self-torture.

that said, probably something like a 950, or look for second hand deals.

It'd be better to get a used card at that price. You should be able to easily find a 280/280X/285/7970 for that price, possibly a 290.

Please do, the 770 sucks because Nvidia destroyed the drivers for Kepler. Even a 280X would beat it if I recall correctly. A 290 would compete with a GTX 970.
