Torvald wish that ARM SoC designers die

qwertywarrior

Torvalds' latest rant popped up on the Linux kernel mailing list, where he weighed in to a debate about ARM systems-on-a-chip (SoC) and how they need to be handled under Linux 3.12.

Linus responded to one request for changes as follows:

That was just warming up. His next paragraph suggested

“I still really despise the absolute incredible sh*t that is non-discoverable buses, and I hope that ARM SoC hardware designers all die in some incredibly painful accident.”

“So if you see any, send them my love, and possibly puncture the brake-lines on their car and put a little surprise in their coffee, ok?”

It's hard to not like that man.

It's also kinda funny that "our" Linus isn't the biggest Linus in tech :P

I wonder too.  That article didn't haven any technical info... just another "rant" back at Torvald.

I'm guessing if it's non-discoverable, it would have to be hard coded all over the place.  So changes are a pain in the butt  .
