K70RGB keycaps melted

So a friend of mine just sent me this telling me " Corsair , not even once" , apparently his keycaps have started to melt after 6 months of use

Was the KB at full brightness 24/7 or smth? Tho even if it was, this shouldn't happen. Maybe it was a bad patch of keycaps or leds that give out too much heat?

i have no clue i'm just as shocked as you are ,  i thought leds didnt produce enough heat in order to melt such plastic.

Those leds must have been way too overpowered to melt plastic

 

Hell, even my crap STRIKE7 rgb keyboard never had that issue

maybe his hands move so fast they create lots of friction with his keycaps and that causes them to melt?

they are smashed not melted

 

plastic doesn't crack when it's melting

 

not to mention most plastics need excess of 300C to start melting. no led can do that.

It's probably ABS. I also have a hard time believing that the damage here was caused by heat...

 

It's also not a great picture, so it's kinda hard to get a good look at the damage.

i myself play wow and it's does calm one's mind , but yes i haven't watched many rage wow videos on youtube :P

well aside from the bad RNG you can get with loot drops i dont see any other reason to get remotely upset :P

I don't, but I can understand PvP'er rage, especially in Arena where flyhacking is extremely common.
