cut down to 2x4GB for the RAM and cut down the PSU to something like a 500W or 450W

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Try to add in an SSD to your build and maybe a different PSU because you won't need that much power.

ok but if you want to save money then atleast cut down the PSU, you REALLY dont need 750W lol

One dollar high, but this PC will kick the other one's butt up and around the corner.

It's a great build, but it would be almost 800 pounds.

Here's what I would go with:

Motherboard: Asus H110M-A Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard  (£49.99 @ Novatech)

Everything is fine although the PSU can be changed to Corsair CX500 and GPU to R9 390X.

Hm. The CX500 is definitely a worse PSU and the R9 390X would be another 50 pounds. In fact, the SeaSonic was the cheapest quality PSU I could find. Besides, I wouldn't be all that comfortable suggesting a 390X with the smallest i5.

PSU:     ACE 750W BR PSU with 12cm Red Fan and PFC - Black £23.53

There's a lot of things wrong with this build, and most importantly, you can't put an AMD CPU onto an Intel motherboard.

Here's a list, if you want to know more.

Alright, for starters, the FX 8350 won't work with the Asus H81M-PLUS motherboard. That's an AMD CPU for the AM3+ socket, and the motherboard is an Intel motherboard for the LGA 1150 socket.

Get an i5 4460 instead. It performs better, actually fits on the damn motherboard, and will save you a little money.

You're spending too much on a GTX 750 Ti. Use what you save to get an R9 380 instead, or allocate your budget better and step up to a 390.

I've never heard of ACE as power supply manufacturers, and that's never a good sign. Get something from SeaSonic or XFX instead, and you only need about 450-500 watts for this computer anyway.

I'd recommend getting a nicer case instead for the money- mostly because I've never heard of Aerocool, and that can't be a good sign.

Lastly, you don't need 16 GB of RAM for gaming- 8 GB should be fine and you can add 8 later if you start editing video or something.

Here's a much better build for your money.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£144.99 @ Ebuyer)
Motherboard: Asus H81M-PLUS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£39.99 @ Dabs)
Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  (£27.04 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£40.82 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: PowerColor Radeon R9 390 8GB PCS+ Video Card  (£249.59 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Case: BitFenix Shinobi ATX Mid Tower Case  (£50.19 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: SeaSonic S12II 620W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply  (£59.99 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £612.61
