Titan black vs 970

I recently built my first gaming pc and bought a 970 for it. I've been happy with it but the other day a friend mentioned that he had a titan black superclocked that he wasn't using anymore and he'd sell it to me for $325. Is it worth it to get it and sell my 970 or should I just stick with what I have?

Titan Black is more powerful by a bit

They're nearly identical, general performance wise. The Titan Black pulls ahead in rendering tasks though due to having more VRAM and being a specialized GPU. Dat CUDA. Titan Black wins by a hair.

if you were to buy the GPU straight up the titan black is slightly faster and has more memory...as an upgrade though, where you would have to go through the trouble of getting a fair price for your GTX 970...not worth it.

They're probably extremely close in performance. I wouldn't pay nearly the price of a brand new GTX 970 for a used Titan Black, especially if I already had a 970.

Not worth it unless you need that DP performance.

Not worth it for such a small performance increase practically speaking. But I'd buy it, why? Its a card with status. I'd buy just so I would have it, especially how much cheaper you can have it for. 

 

But if you're not interested in that then don't.
