How can i set up what goes in ssd and hdd.

penguin1853

Currently i have a 250gb ssd and a 1tb hdd. Windows 10 is already installed in it. I tried duplicating the folders and moving it but my downlpads still download on my ssd. If i were to wipe all my files how would i be able to configure it so that my ssd has my os and games. And my hdd has my downloads videos and documents?

You'd have to manually move stuff. I would say setup a Raid 0, but I don't know how to tell the computer to install Windows/commonly used files on the SSD portion of the raid disk.

Manually set the directory for each application. When you install a program, set it to the drive you want it to store the files.

You can also set many programs to download to a specific locations, like Steam or other game services and browsers.

Personally, I keep my entire User folder on my HDD.

I just change these values in regedit: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

and change everything to e.g D:\Jarsky\<foldername>

(AppData, Desktop, Favorites, Local AppData, My Music, My Pictures, My Video, Personal)

Some apps like your browsers you need to change the downloads location in the application settings.
