You can get 2 GB on Google Drive for free

The deal is pretty simple, Safer Internet Day is coming and Google wants to encourage better protection. All you have to do is is review their security settings. Go here, review your phone number, security question, connected devices, account permissions, change something if you want and that's it, you'll get 2 GB for free on Google Drive. If you previously got any free storage, don't worry, it stacks.

To celebrate "Safer Internet Day 2016", which is today, Google is now offering 2GB of extra free Drive storage to those willing to review their security settings. In theory, you don't have to make any actual changes to your security settings, as the extra free storage can be obtained by just clicking on three "Done" buttons.

Once you complete these three steps, your free Google Drive quota will be raised to 17GB. The extra GB will never expire. 

Even better, it stacks with any previously rewarded extra storage, meaning you can have as much as 19GB total free storage as of today.

 

I checked mine, it's visible immediately. Enjoy your free storage.

im mean i already have 1TB free from google (local Guides) but that expires in 2017 soo xD

Might be a good thing to have multiple copies of really important stuff. You can never be too safe.

i have it free for 2 years

Even though some people may not agree, I prefer using my NAS over any cloud-based storage.

While NAS has many advantages, and I'll be getting one myself sometime in the future, I still use 3 different cloud services because they also has few advantages which can be a life saver.
