upgrade needed pls need fresh eyes

Hello fresh eye of the internet I am trying to upgrade my computer to further help me become less of a scrub i need fresh eyes to help me because I'm getting a little frustrated over my overall performance of my pc right now.

my current pc specs:

intel i5 2400

random intel p67 lga 1155 mobo

8gb ddr3 1333mhz value ram

gtx 960 4gb oc msi

corsair rm 550

random hard drives

I know that i most likely could use a new cpu for better performance because it currently bottle necks but i need to spend about @$200 usd but I'd appreciate hyper threading

I'd say that upgrading your motherboard and getting a skylake intel Core i5 is the best option and ddr4 ram

Is your PC a prebuilt? What exactly are you not happy with performance wise? Honestly you are going to be spending way more than $200 for a CPU upgrade because you will likely need to upgrade your mobo (and maybe RAM) as well, unless you buy a used 2700k or something.

there is absolutly no need to upgrade the ram from ddr3.
and ddr4 aint cheap, and the boards are pricier for a merly 10% better performance

May be a little more expensive but you can buy used #Scrapyardwars and its more than ten percent,

Take a look at my last post... The 2011 socket 8 core 16 thread e5 with turbo of 3.3ghz can be had with a board for under 200 bucks.. Anyone looks at anything else at the moment is being silly.

Hyperthreading will only make a little bit of a difference unless you plan on video editing etc
