But you know, you still need a sfp modul or at least it looks like you will need one. the sfp ethernet moduals are like 200 bucks

This one seems like a really really old one.

It's legit. Buying a single-port card from an old server stays pretty cheap. I got 2 Mellanox ones on EBay for $43 and they work great. So should be fine. You'll need a SFP+ cable. It can be $25 itself

I bought 6 of them and the deal is legit! I was able to get a hold of some cheap 4gb fiber modules and have been using them around the house for a while now! Havent had an issue so far!
