Nope. You pay about £300 more for an extra 3 fps or so compared to the 980ti.

I would say they are useless except for very specific applications.

the titan x is worth it if you need more than 8GB vram. (or more than 6 and have reason to stick to nvidia)

The titan black is worth it if you are using it as a compute card.

The Titan X actually delivers a great value when it comes to the need of large amounts of VRAM - after all it's the cheapest 12GB card on the market.

Nvidia placed at a good price point if you look at other cards with 12GB or more VRAM, which usually cost at least 50% more cash.

ithought bragging rights was the very reason for titans to happen.

 

in the same way as how the bugatti veryron happened.

I don't think so. I think nvidia gtx980ti is more than enough and if you still got money and want more gtx980ti in sli

Love mine, even bought a third recently. Not happy with the money I spent on the 9 series. Frames aren't everything, learned the hard way.
