So I was staring at a wall and I remembered in chemistry we learned photons and gamma rays don't have a mass. If this is true how do solar sales work then? I am guessing it has to do with the wavelength and particle theory.

So I was staring at a wall and I remembered in chemistry we learned photons and gamma rays don't have a mass. If this is true how do solar sales work then? I am guessing it has to do with the wavelength and particle theory.

I thought photons did have mass? It was just so insignifigant that it was basically mass less. But what do I know :rolleyes:   im just in college

So I was staring at a wall and I remembered in chemistry we learned photons and gamma rays don't have a mass. If this is true how do solar sales work then? I am guessing it has to do with the wavelength and particle theory.

the engergy from a proton is not in momentum but in the rate at which it vibrates. The frequency or wavelength is what dictates the energy. A photon at the infrared wavelength will have less energy than photons in the x-ray wavelength
