4690K 1.30v - 1.35v Safe for 24/7?

iyzyz

So my 4690k is currently at 4.82ghz 1.298v, I tried 4.9ghz at the same voltage but it crashes when it reaches the desktop. I need to bump the voltage but I'm scared 1.3v+ will be damaging to my chip.

Any help would be appreciated.

1.35V is the accepted limit for Haswell, and at 1.3V your 4690K should last as long as it would at stock-as it is my 4790K needs 1.239V at 4.4GHz.

You have a really really good chip! It's not worth to push it to 4.9Ghz, it will be worth it after few years. extra voltage won't do anything, if you are scared then don't do it, but it won't harm the CPU.
