Desktop motherboard with ECC support?

Does the MSI-H81m p33 or MSI Z87m Gaming support ECC memory? I checked out the compatibility list and I see one or two ECC sticks, but I don't know if that means it can actually use ECC memory.

As far as I can tell, neither of those boards specifically supports ECC.

Are there any cheap boards that support ECC? The cheapest one I've seen is a $180~ supermicro board

Z87M GAMING: - Supports non-ECC, un-buffered memory

MSI-H81m p33 - pretty sure it doesnt since it is in the blue MSI catagory

motherboards that support ecc aint cheap. ebay maybe sells some motherboards for a lower cost

IOt's not particularly a cheap feature, unfortunately. Your best bet is probably to look for WS/Server boards on eBay.

Well, if I decide to upgrade my server and spend $150 on a motherboard, should I instead consider picking up an Atom C2550D4L instead? I've read mixed performance reviews of that compared to a Pentium/i3. I'll be using it in my FreeNAS server, which under the heaviest workload will probably be doing three 6-10MB/s plex streams.
