2015 Steam Winter sale bigger than Summer sale, 46M games sold

I spent next to nothing, Steam sales have gotten worse and worse in recent sales. And GTA V doesn't interest me even if it was 90% off.

Only thing I bought was clannad. Already owned everything else. Winter sale wasn't great imo. Might be because of how the sale worked showing all the deals since day 1. I just checked every now and then but didn't see anything of interest.

All the companies playing hardball now because steams popularity is just increasing each year. They know they can be greedy.

I remember when thq went belly up I picked up all their games for 20-25 euro.

Darksiders 2 was recently on sale for 20 on its own what a joke

I should note I've just spent my post sale days playing final fantasy x instead just no games interest me

I bought more games that I'll never download, and now my backlog is at 260

 

Need to start becoming more rational consumers.

 

Try rationalizing every purchase like this?

-Am I buying this because I will play it in the near-term

-Or am I buying it just because it's cheap.

If the answer is the latter then that's not a good enough reason (buying a product that you won't use). You are still parting with money for something you won't use. Unless you really want to contribute towards the financial health of PC game developers...
