What technology are you looking forward to?

Oshino Shinobu

So, what technology(ies) are you looking forward to? Whether it's something that's a hundred years away or something that's coming very soon.

Personally, I'm looking forward to 'true' VR. By this I mean a VR system that can create something similar to dreams, where it's all happening in your head, but feels real and it's like you're actually there. If you've ever watched Sword Art Online, you'll know what I mean. If not, here's a bit of information on what it is: http://swordartonline.wikia.com/wiki/NerveGear

Similar to your's but I would like to see J.A.R.V.I.S sometime in my lifetime.

I think we're getting closer to something like that very fast. Just think about how bad voice recognition was a few years ago. Now there's things like Siri, Google Glass and Xbox One (HAHA) where voice commands are becoming increasingly accurate.

I have an n64, if you want

You know, I seriously had to think then, weather I want Privacy & An N64, or No Privacy & A PC, and I was very close to taking the N64, but I think I'll take the risk. Not like I do anything Illegal so I don't have a single thing to worry about

True to life VR. I mean like insane resolutions like 8K, some refresh rate like 240Hz, and the best damn display quality we can get. I know this might sound stupid, but my god that would be amazing. We will probably eventually hit a wall where we don't need to upgrade our PCs *much* so it should be fairly cheap.

Fibre in Australia...lol I know, not big but at the moment seems like it's hundreds of years away for some of us down here.

I'll just piggyback that idea to Fibre in New Zealand which is the rollout process.

For fiber to become the new dialup.

Faster wireless technology. I would love to be able to move 20 gigs over a wireless connection to a hard drive quick.
