Corsair Link is unstable and not recognizing items

Hey everyone, just recently got together a computer, specs in signature as always.

I installed the corsair link software hoping that everything would be fine and dandy but at first it didn't recognize ANYTHING at all! just empty...

So I rebooted my system and this time most of my components showed up but they were all reading 0, 0° and 0% activity and so on.

I have no idea how to fix it, I have it ALL correctly plugged in and so on.

I want to be able to control my Pump and Fans that are attached to my radiator. They are all on and working but I want to set custom curves and so on.

I am really frustrated with my choice of cooler, I wish I had gotten the x61 Kraken, CAM software is really brilliant and ALWAYS works.

I am using Windows 10 x64

Corsair, F U!!!!!!

well you dont need corsair link for the cooler to work....

and btw CAM is a resource hog, definitely not recommended to leave running in the background

what OS are you using? corsair link is a bit picky about that

you may have to use a different version for your OS

1. CAM isn't a resource hog, maybe it uses 1GB of ram but fuck it I have 16 of them so it's ok. It's not even using 5% of my cpu....

2. I am using Windows 10

3. I know I don't need corsair link for the cooler to work, otherwise the fan wouldn't be bloody spinning and my cpu wouldn't be running at 30°.

Srry if that sounded like a rant...

it's because it was a rant

Corsair Link works fine for me. I reckon you dun goof'd and didn't install it properly. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

cam is a resource hog

it has been since its release

and 5% of your CPU is a lot, fyi

the problem is not how much CPU it uses

the problem is the lag spikes it causes to the entire system, which makes really noticeable stutters in games

anyway, try uninstalling it, restart your PC, and downloading the latest version from here http://www.corsair.com/en-us/support/downloads

then install that, and if it still doesnt work then see if anything here helps you http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132954

I haven't noticed any stutters and any lag spikes in any games because of CAM but whatever mileage may vary.

I got it almost working somehow, I rebooted 2 times, ran the installer, did a "repair" and rebooted again and it showed me the stuff I had installed in my computer like cpu and cooler and stuff.

BUT I STILL COULDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING! I tried changing the LED and ramping up the fans but the LED stayed white and nothing changed at all. I really don't understand why it's just not working.
