Thundersn0w

Hey, I have always wanted to upgrade my cooling setup, but I haven't had money until now. I have around 50$ to spend, what heat sink should I get, and is there anything else (besides thermal paste) I should put in.

Case: Corsair Carbide 200R

Ram: G Skill Ripjaws X

Motherboard: Gigabyte B85M D3H

212 evo would be nice assuming you had the room.

if you can get one, in some areas the bequiet dark rock advanced c1 is around $50, in some other areas, it costs more than a trip to the moon...

its hell to mount, but its a very nice looking, sturdy cooler thats quiet and performs very well.

212 EVO probably the best at that price range

By far not.

The Scythe Mugen 4 and be Quiet Shadow Rock 2 are much better, but obviously also more expensive.

If I put in a 212 EVO, would it be worthwhile to get a separate fan or some case fans or should I just leave it stock?

backing the shadow rock 2 here, its equally painful to mount as the dark rock advanced c1, but much cheaper.

I'd suggest the Shadow Rock 2. Or a Cryorig C7/H5

The Scythe Mugen is actually even better and comes close to the Dark Rock Pro 3  ^_^

You are good with current fans. If you got some extra to spare, getting second intake for front or bottom is good selection.
