I'll be playing games such as Gta 5 Bf4 Csgo and Dota 2

I would consider the X4 860K then. You will have to upgrade the CPU and motherboard if you get a more powerful graphics card, though. Fortunately, the X4 860K and an A88X motherboard aren't that expensive, so it's not a huge loss.

your right but with the money he saves with the 860k he can spend on a better gpu which as a bigger impact on performance. thats why most people like austin evans favor them in their cheap builds

Not when an 860k will bottleneck it.. that's just dumb.

I shall build a rig for OP.

I've heard that games such as Gta 5 and FC4 doesn't run well on a dual core anymore

Um not really. I3 have hyperthreading, so essentially have 4 logical cores. Apart from that GTA5 runs perfectly on duel-core CPU like the Pentium g3528.

Why are you using a benchmark of a title which is well renowned to perform well with many CPU configs? In the case of BF4, it performs pretty much the same with an FX-8350 as it does an i7-4790K, even though the 4790K would hand the FX-chip its ass in most other benchmarks.

OP asked for performance in GTA V and BF4, the i3 utterly destroys the 860k in both.

even if it does (which it doesnt i a 450$ build) the overall pc is going to perform better because your able to spend more on the gpu

Source?

Also, make sure that the X4 860K is overclocked, which is a major benefit of going for that chip as opposed to the i3.

An 860k is slower than my Phenom II CPU and that bottlenecks my GTX 580, seriously your info is wrong.

Yes, but the "budget build" people do on youtube have no upgradability. I guess he could max get a GTX 950 before a bottleneck occurs. With an i3 you could always pick up an better i5 later on.

The FX-6300 is a different chip with a different architecture, so it doesn't really apply here.

Does amazon ships to Malaysia?

From Google.

You can get almost anything on Amazon.com and ship it to Malaysiathrough Borderlinx. You can buy from the USA on Amazon.com: dvds, books, the kindle, toys, headphones or clothing, jewelry and kitchenware. And with Borderlinx you can ship it to Malaysia.

God forbid you have to RMA something though. You will have a nightmare on your hands. My vote goes to the 860K with the XFX PSU. Enermax are crappy at this price point.

Dude, no it isn't. The IPC of the FX-series is garbage. The X4 860K has a higher IPC than the 6300 and so has better single-threaded performance, not to mention it having 4 full cores rather than 6 'modules'.
