Xbox 360 fan upgrade

Aaaaaanyways, I am now looking for a fan swap in my 360. It's a 360 Elite (you know, the curvy one that came out before the Slim did), and I'm looking for something that is a good deal quieter but doesn't sacrifice its blowiness. I would prefer something that didn't have LEDs in it, but I could always just cut the wires.

 

And if anything, my preferred things are Amazon and eBay for actually buying the thing.

they dont sell a waterblock for the old xbox anymore

sorry what i read was a cool and easy solution would be an xbox water cooling system. (i guess i am thinking about wc right now xD )

Not really. I'd like to outright replace the unit since one fan is kinda "meh" on deciding to spin. :/

The stock fans are actually quietish. 80% of the noise comes from the optical drive. I'd recommend doing thermal paste or fining the heat sink with a copper base and heat pipe. I did his upgrade to my Elite and it dropped a good deal of noise. Maybe do push pull with some additional 50mm fans on the front of the CPU heat sink. If nothing else the wiring for the existing fans are positive on outside two pins of the 3 pin headed, and ground in the middle.

Oh, nononononononononono. I don't even need anything in the ODD and I can hear the fans. Not air noise, tho. Motor noise.

Maybe they need oiled? They're ball bearing so they can dry out and then get reoiled. If one's having issues starting up, yeah oil em.

Already been oiled. Both this one and my friend's fans have had synthetic motor oil added. His are dead silent. :/
