Games not working. GTX970

Natanael

My friend bought and built a pc about 6 months ago. For some reason from the day he built it he cannot open certain games, mostly AAA games like Metro Last Light and Star Wars Battlefront. I formatted his computer, installed a different version of windows 7 and installed the latest nvidia drivers but the problem still persists. Anyone has had the same problem?

He has an i7 4790, Asrock Z97 Anniversary mobo, Palit GTX 970 and 8GB of RAM.

Is the monitor plugged in to the motherboard or the graphics card

It's plugged in to the graphics card.

When windows boots up he gets a windows aero error. He gets another error when opening Origin. I don't know exactly what it says but i'll update you with the exact error once I get home or tomorrow.

I'm guessing we all need much more information in order to diagnose what is wrong with that computer.

This, or the card is in need of an RMA ASAP.
