New build 2000$ budget

Nova's Cream

would you guys mind putting together a pc( that is prioritized towards gaming but not limited to) build for me I have about a 2000$ budget

I'd like something with a strong lifespan and is just a fast beast overall

(haven't decided too much about the manufacturer of some parts, but a rough idea of what I want:)

CPU-I74790k

memory- ripjaws 16gb ddr3 (could care less about the clockspeed)

MOBO- Asus z97-a

GPU- gtx 980

PSU- 600-700W (not sure what i want yet)

HDD- 1TB drive

SSD- (optional, will buy if i have leftover)

something along the lines of this build if you guys have something better I couldmake a few exceptions and swaps

I'll try and build you a PC in Pcpartpicker, assuming that is USD? Do you have a particular colour theme? Also do you have the monitor/peripheals in the budget?

Ta-da! I took my build and edited it, Case is obviously a personal preference so feel free to change that, the PSU is listed incorrectly as Pcpartpicker doesn't list the RMI (As far as I can see) So it's actually the RMI 850 version. I've gone otherboard with the Power Supply to meet the demand of future components, as you said you wanted a build that will last a while, The GPU can be upgraded further into SLI if you downgrade the processor/motherboard and storage, if you want, although a single GTX 980 TI should be sufficient, I decided to put in only one to make the build more: "Premium" as such. 3TB's should be more than enough for gaming, and if you decide to install lots of programs it should last you awhile. You could upgrade the cooler if you want, but that isn't my area of expertise so i've left it as an air cooler so other users can come along and reccomend Liquid Cooling if you'd like to go down that route.

My keyboard hurts.
