DICE states that BF4 will look better on PCs than consoles.

Patrick Bash from DICE states and I quote:

From a CPU/GPU perspective, no [PS4 & Xbox One cannot match PC.] PC will always be.... You can just add more to a PC. There's always more. The game supports to a big extent better hardware, but not completely, so it won't be night and day.

Of course, we already knew this. Consoles are obviously not going to be as good as a more expensive PC. And apparently BF4 was running at 720p on the consoles, and not 1080p. IGN also stated that BF4 was lacking graphical quality on the PS4.

Does anyone know if BF4 is runnning 720p on Xbox one as well. I no the Ps4 is more powerful but Dice is used to developing with directx 11 is it possible they were able to optimize better for xbox?

If most games actually end up running at 720p on next gen console, I will be quite disappointed, Output resolution>some nicer textures and more polygons. Running games at this low resolution look bad no matter what in my opinion, although on the other hand, we can get 1080p no matter what :D.

@Pvt. 8Ball I know Forza 5 is 1080p 60fps and deadrising 3 is 30fps 1080p so I think that when people get a hang out of the hardware more games will be 1080p

Probably most people think consoles are superior. However this is entirely the fault of the industry. Most people's experience with PCs are on crappy low res budget LCD monitors driven by Intel HD onboard graphics. No wonder the average person thinks consoles are better.
