You're right I am 'banking on the probability' because you know what? I'm 32 myself and everyone I know has never been randomly attacked. Random attacks don't happen, and when they do they are *really* rare. The civilised world as a whole is generally safe.

 

But hey it's pointless arguing with an American over protection seen as there's been more mass shootings in the US then there has been days this year.

 

And in a ironic twist, gun control has never been stricter in the US and yet mass shootings are increasing.  Hum...interesting.

I ignore them as well, besides if anyone asks or challenges me I have a Pro Permit so shit on them.  ;)

As a brit I have been attacked on the street twice. The first by two muggers with knives and have left me with a slash across my chest. The second by 3 gang members who were unarmed. I won both incidents with 2 dead to show for it. The only defence I am allowed legally is my fists so I have spent 15 years training to make them effective and its saved my life 5 times so far.

If I lived in the USA I would conceal carry, the police in the UK are seriously ineffective and the law is absurd. The murder rate the USA is provable not due to gun ownership but to other cultural issues. We are just expected to die when the bad guys come for us its kind of sickening really.

I got stopped in security twice, once for a compass, and another one for a screwdriver.

But my mechanical pencils with .3mm leads were totally okay...

meanwhile, i always forget to take my knives out of my bag and ive never gotten stopped by TSA lol  made it from the west coast to the east and back with my combat knife in my carry-on with no complaints

meanwhile, i always forget to take my knives out of my bag and ive never gotten stopped by TSA lol  made it from the west coast to the east and back with my combat knife in my carry-on with no complaints

I've flown with a knife and pepper spray before.  Didn't know they were in my bag since I use my daily bag as my carryon.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

No, people die by confronting the guy wielng a knife. The law is made so that if someone tries to rob you, you avoid conflict and allow the police to catch the guy. Certainly what I don't want in europe are armed vigilantes who think they know how to handle a gun in a crysis situation. One mass shooting was enough thank you.

I think the last mass shooting i heard in the U.S. was in San Bernardino.

Two Muslim extremists shot up a mental health and wellness facility for the disabled, i believe.

 

So yeah, ironically enough, it still is about mental illness and not gun restrictions.
